Full Moon in Gemini

Walking away from all that’s not serving to 2022

Seasons Greetings Earth Fam,

I hope that Scorpio season treated you well. On a personal level this last season was deeply introspective, transformative, and somewhat depressive if I am being honest. I find that deep moments of change tend to stir the pot of anxiety, frustration, and discomfort that we as humans work so hard to ignore. But alas, we must drink this medicinal soup so as to purge and heal.

This Full Moon is the final full moon of 2021 and occurs on December 18 at 8:37pm Pacific Time. The moon is in the sign of Gemini, the innovator, the dualist, the separator while the sun is in Sagittarius. Both Sagittarius and Gemini are fervent seekers of liberation and expansion, though their approaches are usually very different. Sagittarius, a fire sign, wants to feel their way into a liberated reality. They want to burn away all that doesn’t serve and illuminate the truth through passionate flames. Gemini, an air sign, on the other hand can be a bit cold and calculative. Gemini relies on their mind to solve their way through the maze of life and come to that freedom through intellect. This full moon asks us to see how we can marry feelings with intellect and come to this space of balanced truth-filled liberation. Do you rely more on your feelings or your mind to free yourself?

The biggest influence that I am feeling during this time is the Venus retrograde conjunct Pluto in Capricorn. Venus, the planet of love and beauty, will be taking her fabled journey over the next 40 days and 40 nights from being a night star to rising with the morning sun. A retrograde is a period of time where we are given challenges and opportunities to help us reflect on what may or may not be working and the growth we need to become better beings in this lifetime. This usually requires a dark night of the soul. When Venus is retrograding in the sign of Capricorn evaluations of partnerships and their long term potential will be constantly tested. Any relationships that have needed a break or a full stop will be given their final notice. Though this is extremely challenging, if you can continue to communicate with loving compassion and patience you will come out so much stronger in your love than ever before (and all things that you felt were lingering “issues” have the potential to be resolved!).

The added influence of Pluto in Capricorn conjunct this retrograde flares up the intensity needed to truly get on or get out in your relationships. Pluto is the sign of power, death, and regeneration thus instigating deep, sometimes violent, change in our lives. Pluto can be dark and, when combined with the Saturnian energy of Capricorn, can be quite serious. I’ve been personally feeling this conjunction deeply in my own relationship. Frustrations and anger, the feeling of not being appreciated or welcome have been rising internally. To work with this energy I have been extra observant for when my heart beats faster or my breath quickens. I allow myself the time to walk out of the room and breathe for a few moments until I can gather my thoughts and feelings (there’s that Gemini and Sagittarius influence!) and communicate from my heart. Always know that issues do NOT need to be resolved immediately, you can let them breathe and come back to them in an hour or a day. Operating from heightened emotions uses the reptilian mind of fight or flight. When in higher vibrational relationships we are called to operate from the heart space or the higher mind instead.

As well as being a very relationship heavy time (relationships not limited to romantic but also with ourselves and friends/work), this full moon deeply influences our vision for what kind of life we want to live, and how that may be completely different from this time last year. As we were moving out of a year of forced lockdowns into a new way of approaching life, we may have been a little overzealous to what we want and can achieve. Now that we have this Winter Moon to slow down and reflect, be okay with certain dreams or visions dying. Focus your attention on one or two good ideas until they fully take life, then keep dreaming. Continue to consider the whole of humanity in rewriting your dreams, and they will be supported by the energy of Saturn in Aquarius, the planetary ruler of this chart.

This moon and all the planetary influences is our opportunity to reconnect and realign with the life of our dreams. Full Moons are always times of great ending and reset, as well as celebration for what has come to fruition! Write down your blessings, reflect on your goals for 2021 that you wrote last year, acknowledge and celebrate what you achieved, and honor this ending of 2021 as it’s meant to be honored.

I hope this blog could be helpful for you this time of year. I am so ecstatic to be writing to you, and ON MY OWN WEBSITE! Yay!

Feel free to write me on instagram, @deeplydimensional,  I love to hear from you!

In joy,

Olivia
